Re: Clemency for Conrad Black
Dear President Bush
I am writing with respect to the above captioned and respectfully asking that you grant clemency to Conrad Black.
Obviously, the U.S. courts have spoken and Appeals have been exhausted.
However, I believe that all things fairly considered Mr. Black has suffered sufficiently and the point of his incarceration has been well made. The benefit of his continued jailing proves little else.
Mr. Black is a skilled writer and historian, and understands the United States well. He has written a fine book on President Roosevelt. Perhaps he will write a book about your presidency one day.
Conrad Black would prove more valuable to society using his ample skills to create and develop business, and employment that would follow. I would be delighted to have him part of my team at ROBBINS Sce Research (1998) “The most accurate pollster in the World”, in our continued efforts to provide honest assessments of the public’s opinion both in the United States and around the World.
Yours,
