Glen P. Robbins -- seeking leadership of the BC Conservative Party once elected to govern in the province of British Columbia would establish a world class ‘state of the art’ carbon trading facility designed fundamentally to deal with open market trading of “carbon equities” and other environmentally focused venture start-ups.
The Greater Vancouver Environment Equities Exchange (“G.V.E.”) would market shares of companies featuring “large environmental asset purchases” and other smaller carbon trading equities, including start-up junior carbon trading equities -- devoted to achieving a ’green economy’ in the province of British Columbia and throughout the World.
Robbins says that “start up funds of $50 million would be invested by the province of British Columbia through an established B.C. Environmental Protection Commission (“B.C.E.P.C.”) which would be integrated with the existing B.C. Securities Commission and feature extraordinary enforcement regulations to ensure a respected, ethical market for carbon trading companies, and consumers alike.”
“In addition tax credits would be made available to bona fide equity firms who invest in suitable up-front infrastructure development (brokerage etc.)”
Robbins adds that “The (“G.V.E.”) would be located in Surrey, British Columbia.”
