Stephen Harper and Conservatives are down (15%) in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, while Michael Ignatieff and Liberals are up (10%). Jack Layton and New Democrats are up (02%), while Elizabeth May and Greens remain about the same in public support.
Confidence in the federal Conservative government is waning -- as BC voters are beginning to wonder how good the government really is -- without necessarily screaming for an election -- AND the fact that Gordon Campbell (and Colin Hansen) are so poorly thought of by voters -- who are linking premier Campbell and to a lesser (but noticeable extent) prime minister Harper to the HST -- taxes -- big corporations like Banks and Oil companies -- they don’t like -- or have confidence in.
Michael Ignatieff and Jack Layton ought to pursue a federal election -- particularly with the world heading this way to talk future business -- in so doing he will gain seats while the Conservatives will lose some -- possibly in British Columbia.

Nearly nine out of ten decided British Columbian voters living in the lower mainland of BC support Premier Gordon Campbell resigning very soon. Torstar -- needs to seriously consider their future media ambitions -- as they are entering a hornet’s nest of voters/consumers who hate the government and don’t trust the media.
Advertising departments will be seeking out monies saved by Finance Minister Colin Hansen -- on his disapproved pro HST mail out -- for themselves. In totality it is really quite repugnant.
A high Undecided over this version of a proposed Bank Tax -- does not mask the fact that three out of four decided voters in the Lower Mainland support the idea of a Bank Tax based in part on the rate of bonuses paid to high level bank executives.
Three out of four decided BC voters would like to see Vancouver host a soccer World Cup? -- good news for Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson.
Six out of ten decided BC voters would like to see the province of British Columbia move more toward nationalizing our energy interests to better protect the BC environment and waters off our coast. We believe this high number is based in part on British Columbians mistrust of large oil and gas companies, combined with the recent disaster off the coast of the United States.
Two out of three decided voters are of the opinion that the pipeline through British Columbia from Alberta’s tar sands to BC’s west coast for shipping by supertanker ought to be reconsidered.
A low minimum wage policy is no longer acceptable to British Columbians (edited).
A sample of 1,033 BC voters between April 25-May 3, 2010. Margin of error 3.0% (approx) plus or minus.
