Carole James and her BC NDP party have an odd political problem in the midst of their daffodils and suntan oil. Their numbers in popular support rise a little, but this support over BC’s new disaster party= BC Liberal party-whose leader Gordon Campbell has already taken them beyond the point of no return--and would on it’s face seem like a delightful situation to be in--does not /however/ permit their own numbers to attain (50%) plus one percent. The rest of the distance is mojo -- not everyone has it.
Gordon Campbell had it easy--the time of his life--it’s too late--the Tide is High.
The early betting is on an electoral format change wherein: Any candidate in a lawful B.C. riding during a general provincial election with the highest numbers of votes in a provincial election who does not achieve (35%) of the total vote in that election -- will trigger the election of the candidate with the second highest number of votes -- no matter what the second place candidates voting totals are. Let a low first and second place rival go at it.Keep your political leaders hungry and look to supersede political events in the mother country--Britain with smart -- sweet -- politics.
The mayor of Prince George Dan Rogers and his brother and sisters went to school with me---at Reynolds Senior Secondary--his sister Linda (wonderful person) was my girlfriend. What is old becomes New. The Rogers were the neighbours of NDP John Horgan and his family.
The concern--because of hatred (press asks -- “Is it really hatred and anger?”--if a family member tells a big lie that hurts the others--that can result in swift condemnation of that family member)--why would people care what degree of the anger or hatred about Campbell is?--Think about it?
--against government and the advancing success of the Fight HST Petition--and Campbell’s reluctance or inability to get off his party planet catapulting toward the Sun--is that the entire political industry -- from government -- courts -- could unravel or implode--simply because no-one in government --et al (hereinafter the “political system”)-- including but particularly the premier of the province--Gordon Campbell-- do NOT “get it”. “Get it” is a manifestation of stunning denial that cuts across ever sector of the establishment including the regular media---the existing vacuum in the media--could bode well for a new beginning--politics--/but the opportunity to bounce back is fast shrinking.
It’s weeks not months.
This theory-- is supported by (58%) of Decided respondents/voters who accept the response choice that essentially “Anything goes” if the Fight HST Petition is successful--who essentially want Campbell to “Follow the law“--/(I am certain you can imagine how this question (2) was interpreted in respondent commentary relative to the premier’s criminal conviction for impaired driving).
There is no point to bide for more delays-it hurts the province--look be a man about it.
an ACT of THE Citizenry---we need some new music -- everything-- this is simply not good enough--It’s day at a time sonny.
Carole James must show she can move across the aisle -- and although these BC NDP numbers -- and lead over BC Liberals and BC Conservatives --is immense--James essentially still preaches to the converted (and many who are not)--she hasn’t cracked (50%) when she ought to have.
Each day Campbell stays on is -- in part -- the fault of Carole James.
A majority of British Columbians are unwilling to wait a year for Campbell to go---suggesting “If he cares about the province at all -- he should -- he’s done well personally--‘he should go now’. The consensus among B.C. voters is that -- after regular people grinding through an economic downturn -- cut backs -- suffering -- that “a liar” could “lie again so easily” and “doesn’t care enough about the province to do the right thing and step down.”
---Smart young politician Helena beats Harper 2/1--to those willing to care.
Former Reformers--Canadian Alliance--cry and rattle the cage--until they get the chequebook--turn out to be the same creeps as Liberals--proof that power corrupts.
British Columbians are coming out toward the new horizon--expectations of economic recovery--positive ventures---and the premier is like a man who stalks an old girlfriend and can’t take “good by“--the negative sentiment supported by numbers in the hundreds of thousands of dollars -- with former Social Credit premier Bill Vander Zalm suggesting signatures on his Fight HST campaign may total 500,000 by the end of May -2010--is producing “good riddance” over ‘good --bye’.
“Dear--I’d like to sign that HST Petition but I’m not sure to go--imagine how the Fight HST campaign might be doing with a million dollar donation?
The nightmare Gulf Oil spill -- is obviously igniting new interest in the Green label - and has everyone--worried about the same thing happening here in B.C. The reason the BC Greens have doubled their totals -- is obviously directed related to this oil spill.
Show is over Boys.
Chris Delaney and BC Conservatives (Delaney is not actually the leader of the BC Conservative party---he is valid to include in all political polls from a standpoint of political science) -- is moving in on Gordon Campbell and BC Liberal support totals--as BC Liberal support tumbles in every region of the province--and either BC Conservatives and (surprise) BC NDP challenge in the former BC Liberal stronghold in the Fraser Valley. BC Liberals actually do better (relatively speaking) on Vancouver Island--
| where a bottom apparently may just be a bottom--how did Richard Stewart ‘get’ to become mayor (Coquitlam) -- and head of the BC Parents Advisory for the same region.
They’ve got you on TV now ass grabber---he’s your pedophile now. |
None of the replacements in or out of BC Liberal caucus has a big enough shadow to stop this-- bleeding--the imagery in my mind--looking at the numbers is/a Monty Python skit on either/or bleeding profusely or vomiting ad nauseam. It’s like Gordon Campbell himself is on fire -- and the names--- Carole Taylor, Christy Clarke, Savoy Brown-of those who might replace him don’t want to save him--because they will burn too. Here is the problem for Carole Taylor and Christy Clarke--if they don’t say something NOW--it will prejudice any campaign later--the next leader of the BC Liberals will be the one who cuts off Campbell’s head.
I knew this would come to no good back in 1996. Glen Robbins is like a Martyn Brown--save Glen is bejeweled--a lustrous collection in the multi-millions of dollars---and packing just a little extra scope--for a fresh ‘mintier’ taste in politics.
Now that dude is Machiavelli--2010.
“Anything goes” produced a myriad of additional comments from respondents -- who are emphatic about how “anything” (“Anything goes”) might be interpreted -- while ‘some’ others -- stipulate things like no “Violence“--most were “Not sure“-but made this response selection anyhow -- even if just to get off the question. I expect the Undecided in this question are leaning “Anything goes” and may not like the implications of that “latitude”/ but the term “Democratic Freedom Fighters” -- follow the Fight in Fight HST== and its gobbled up pretty easily.
If the rumour in Coquitlam are true--we have another disaster on our hands in Coquitlam---far-----------far worse than the Hated Sales Tax. Potentially--hundreds of little children --hoping to be safe-- not violated and defiled.
ZEUS --1,215 BC voters moe 3.0% up and down.
