Commentary
City of Coquitlam tax payers are nearly split in terms of Very Good/Good and Very Poor/Poor descriptions of quality of city services relative to tax dollar they pay. (36%) of decided respondents indicate the quality of services relative to ‘cost’ is Very Good/Good, while (29%) of decided respondents indicate the quality of services relative to ‘cost’ is Very Poor/Poor.
(36%) of Coquitlam tax payers describe quality of services relative to ‘cost’ as “Fair”.
If a “Fair” description of services is considered satisfactory then (72%) of City of Coquitlam tax payers deem quality of services relative to cost as satisfactory. Based on this translation of terms (Fair to Satisfactory), and factoring the margin of error of approximately (6%) then City of Coquitlam has a high satisfaction rate of (80%) and a low of (63%).
Based on the relationship of Very Good/Good relative to Very Poor/Poor (55-45%) and the (80%) and (63%) rates – ROBBINS grades the City of Coquitlam on quality of services relative to ‘cost’ in terms of customer satisfaction at (66%) or a C+.
Methodology- This is a Glen P. Robbins – ROBBINS Sce Research (1998) straw poll of 262 tax payers in the City of Coquitlam between September 3-17, 2011. Respondents were qualified as tax payers who became eligible to participate if they paid homeowner or business taxes in Coquitlam and resided in Coquitlam. This poll features a margin of error of 6% plus or minus, 19 times out of 20 @ 95% confidence. This Glen P.
